π¦ About the Sentence Examples Finder
The Sentence Examples Finder shows how to use any word in a real sentence β and crucially, at three different reading levels. Each lookup returns one K-2 sentence (short, concrete, classroom-style), one 3-5 sentence (more compound structure, slightly richer vocabulary), and one 6-8 sentence (sophisticated phrasing, abstract usage). A kid who's confused by a word can read it in the context they'll actually encounter.
Sentence examples are one of the most underused reading-comprehension tools. Definitions explain what a word means in the abstract; sentences show what the word does. Both matter, but sentences are how kids actually learn usage β particularly for words that have multiple senses or that work differently depending on context.
All sentences in the K-8 corpus were written by hand to match the target grade band, not pulled from random web sources. Each sentence uses age-appropriate context (school, family, friends, hobbies, animals) and avoids loaded topics. Deep-link with ?word=brave to jump to any specific word's examples.
