Use the digital guide first, then do the experiment. Having kids read through the interactive guide before starting the hands-on activity means they'll understand what to look for and why each step matters. It also builds anticipation, which increases engagement with the actual experiment.

Ask "what do you think will happen?" before each step. Prediction is one of the most powerful learning tools in science. When kids make a prediction and then see whether they were right, they're practicing the scientific method — even if they don't know that's what it's called.
