About the B.E.S.T.
Florida's B.E.S.T. Standards replaced Common Core in 2020 with an emphasis on mathematical thinking and strong foundational literacy. Florida adopted the Benchmarks for Excellent Student Thinking (B.E.S.T.) standards in 2020, replacing the previous Florida Standards (which were closely related to Common Core).
